On this page, you will find all of the listening exercises that we have designed for our students. At the end of each term, the students have exams on Reading, Conversation, Listening and Dictation. You will find that most have sound clips built into each quiz as we want our students to practice at home. However, the Dication Stories at the bottom of this page have scripts which the teachers read. We do it this way as we want to control the way it is delivered. For example, the speed of speech and amount of repetition needed. We also don’t want the students to memorize these tests at home before we do them at school. The scripts can be found in the Teacher’s menu at the top.

C. LISTENING STORIES

In these listening practice exams, students have to listen to a short story read by their teacher and then answer five questions. There will be two stories like these in the final exams.

 

D. DICTATION STORIES

The students have to listen to a short story read by their teacher and then fill in the blanks with the missing words. There will be a dictation exercise in the final exams. These quizzes do not have any sound clips as we want to control the delivery and we don’t want the students to do them in advance. You will find the scripts in the teacher’s menu at the top.
