Samut Prakan is a small province in Central Thailand. To the North and West is Bangkok. To the East is Chachoengsao. To the South is the Gulf of Thailand. Samut Prakan is at the mouth of the Chao Phraya River where it flows into the Gulf of Thailand. The Western side of the river is mainly rice fields, shrimp farms and mangrove forests. On the Eastern side, it is mainly shops, homes and factories.
2. Muang Samut Prakan (70 words)
Samut Prakan is divided into six districts, called Amphoe in Thai. Muang Samut Prakan is the capital district. It also has the most people. The capital district has three major tourist attractions. These are Ancient Siam, Erawan Museum and Crocodile Farm. Ancient Siam is a park with important buildings from around Thailand. Erawan Museum is a giant three-headed elephant. The Crocodile Farm has the largest captive crocodile in the world.
